We are going to hasten the arrival of Spring with the announcement of Spring Mini Sessions! There will be two different kind of sessions offered- Studio and Washington D.C Cherry blossoms! I’ve had alot of interest for both of these, so be sure to sign up for a slot quickly! To help you decide what’s best for your family, let me tell you a bit about each. If there is enough interest I could create a day of Spring mini sessions in Stafford with live bunnies? Let me know your thoughts!
The spring studio sessions will feature the fabric kites, a hot air balloon (which I will show you shortly!), matilda jane dresses for the girls, bow tie options for the boys, a new pastel colored wood backdrop, and a vintage tile backdrop! Many many new things in the studio. If you want spring pictures to be painless, go with the studio option! I can move quickly with studio images and make it fun for the kiddos! The studio sessions are only intended for children due to my small studio space.
The cherry blossom sessions which would of course be for the whole family will require some patience and endurance for everyone involved mostly because of the drive up to D.C, one never knows what to expect with traffic! For those of us traveling from Stafford, I picked two early evening days which lends the best light, minimal traffic heading north, and lesser crowds. The peak bloom prediction times will not be made until the first week of March, but I did check the peak bloom times from two years prior and it was March 20 and March 29. So we are going with March 26 and March 28. I will be making a trip up there in early March to plot out where it is best to park and where to meet up. I will inform everyone of that information a week prior to the photo sessions.
When signing up for these sessions keep your children’s happiest times in mind, do what’s least stressful for your family, and if you have a large number of people you want photographed, it may be best to schedule a full photo session instead of a mini to ensure we have enough time!
